No. Personal mode uses your own account and your device's microphone. You select the speaker's language and one language for your captions. If the church already offers a listener link, joining that service usually gives you a cleaner audio source.

No. Personal sessions have no public listener link, QR sharing, or stream input. Only the signed-in owner can access the session. Microphone audio is processed online while translation is active, so use it where you have permission.

Yes, in a supported browser with a microphone and internet connection. Keep the page open while translating. Personal mode does not provide offline translation or background recording while the phone is locked.

You can opt into translated AI voice when your plan and selected language support it. Use headphones so the phone does not pick up its own translated audio. Live captions remain available while you listen.

Personal mode uses the same account balance and plans as church translation. Eligible new accounts receive 4 total free translation hours. One hour of speech in one target language uses one translation hour. Pay As You Go captions cost $5 per translation hour. Translated AI voice starts with Standard at $99 per month.

Accuracy depends on how clearly your microphone hears the speaker. Sit where speech is audible and test a short passage first. Background conversations, music, echo and distance can reduce quality. A church-provided audio feed is preferable when available.
